Default 24'' 7117 0mnijig

We are looking for 1/2 blind dovetail 7117 omni jig. Why did porter cable stop making this excellent jig? Help.

Welcome Cove. I don't know about that model but a different model is still available. https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-.../dp/B000HGL5A6

Porter Cable was bought out by the company that owns B&D and DeWalt a few years ago and some products have been dropped and quality seems to have suffered since. If you are going to spend that much money you might want to look at the Leigh D4 jig. It will do everything that one will and possibly more plus Leigh customer service is excellent. I'm not sure about PC's customer service.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Reading these forums is proving helpful...Leigh Jig has always intrigued me, I currently own a PC 4212 and often cut dovetails by hand....

It's been discussed numerous times here and I suspect there are numerous you tube videos of it. There have been some other jigs that got good mentions but the Leigh jigs always seem to rise above the rest consistently.
