Default Update and Katie Jigs

I have not been able to do much in the workshop because I have a muscle disease. It is not life threatening and is okay.

I have two barely used Katie Jigs. I was thinking I might sell. Anyone have any idea what they are worth? Like new. One by Sommerfeldt and one by the Katie people.

Thanks

Steve Bolton

Hey Steve....

80 % of retail is a good general rule of thumb to begin with,,,,+/- given condition and use.

You can set the price and always lower it as you see fit til it does sale...

Hi Steve and good to see you post. It has been a long time. I usually find 50 to 75% of retail to be the going price folks are willing to pay for used items.

I too have a muscle type medical condition. Yours would not be Myasthenia Gravis by any chance?

No, mine is something in the rheumatoid family. I can only say it if I practice. I hope yours isn't bad. I knew something was wrong when I could no longer walk.

Thanks

HI Steve

Sorry to hear that as far as a sale price for the jigs I would say " make a offer " and see what comes up

So sorry to hear about your condition Steve. It sounds much worse than mine, but none are really good. I hope they can relieve and control it for you. Sure keeps life a challenge to say the least. I'll keep you in my prayers my friend.

Good luck to you on selling your items.

You might check ebay to see what others have sold for, then price your's accordingly.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but don't give up woodworking. There are many avenues. You may not be able to do the big stuff anymore, but one of the others may be as, or more interesting that you can still do. There are many of us who are limited in what we can do. We just work around it, finding interest in what we can still do.
