I see that you are new to the Router Forum. Welcome to the forum!

Wow! That is a huge question! How many different ways are there to make a tenon and mortise joint?

Have you tried using the "Advanced Search" feature yet? The Advanced Search feature is a great opportunity for you to get some answers without waiting for someone to post a reply to your question.

You can find the advanced search button part way down from the top of this page on the right side of the "Community Search" "Go" button. Once I got to the Advanced Search page, here are the steps that I used:

1. I put the keywords "tenon mortise" in the keyword(s): text box under the "Search by Keyword" heading.

2. Then I selected "Jigs and Fixtures" under the "Search in Forum(s)" heading.

3. Then I clicked the "Search Now" button below the "Search in Forum(s)" list box.

4. I got a list of dozens of posts from members discussing the answer to your question.

As you read through the different posts, you will find that there are many ways to create mortise and tenon joints. Pick one that looks good to you and head out to your woodworking shop......:)

Good luck,
Eric

Mortise and tenon joints.

I agree with the previous answer, this has been discussed and discussed, if you like to look in my downloads, page3 and on will give you my idea for cutting tenons, and page 5 and on will give you mortising.
