Default ? Dovetail jigs

I will be getting my first ever dovetail jig this week (thanks to wife for my b-day),question would a 1.5 hp Porter Cable router be strong enough or should I go 2h.p or bigger? This router will be dedicated to the dovetail jig when it is to be used

It will be fine Warren. I have dedicated 1-3/4hp PC 690's dedicated to my dovetail machine.

Whittier, CA.

Have a nice & safe day!
