Default New feather boards

It's time to upgrade the home made jobs to something more modern. Any info. on the woodpecker variable pressure boards? The video @ there web site looked interesting. I just got a pair of the JessEm Paralign's from Woodcraft (unopened) but they seem a little bulky. Hard to tell if the wdpkrs. are smaller but it looks like they may be. The pressure adjustment seems to be apples & apples, just two different ways to accomplish it. One less knob on the wdpkrs. is a + I guess. Both kind of $$$. Any thoughts appreciated!

Rick, the design of the feather boards are not nearly as important as having them adjusted with the right pressure. Too little and they do not hold the wood down or against the fence.(Depending on how you are using them) Too much pressure and the wood is difficult to move which will result in burning. As a general rule feather boards are only required on long pieces.(Yes, there are exceptions) For most routing a good push stick which also holds the wood down is the best choice. Here is an excellent design courtesy of the Router Workshop.

After further ponder, I've rounded the same bend. A feather board's a feather board, got caught up in the excitement of my new table I guess. That kind of $$$ is better spent on bits. Thanx!
