Default Craftsman dovetail jig

I recently bought the craftsman dovetail jig model 2579 for $50,
My question is what are the different kinds that are mentioned? I want a full theses are what's listed... Rabbeted, flush, and offset I can't find any good pictures saying the differences, of course I'm at work right now so it's a little difficult ...
I'm having issues with getting it set up and also I found out that box joints are stronger joints? I think they would be easier, might just return the dovetail jig if that's the case

Dovetails provide a greater gluing surface, and with the modern glues they are about the strongest, professional-looking wood joint.

What type of joint you use depends upon the project and the wood surfaces involved, and the final look of the piece. Here's a link that shows a rabbeted dovetail, and I think you will see that it is a very decorative and professional looking joint.
