Default koa & maple box

this is the first box made with the heart E-Z Link system , the corners are aromatic cedar, 1 1/4" X 1 1/4" , 4 sides figured koa, top & bottom maple, with the pull is makore, the hinges is made from zebrawood & oak 1/4" thick, i put a brass chain inside to hold the lid open, watco natural danish oil with wet sanding & shellac inside & out, box measures 7" X 7" X 4 5/8" high.

Hi John,

Boxes are one of my favorite WW projects. You did that box some real justice and really showed off what the E-Z Link system could do.

Great job and thanks so much for sharing it with us.

John that looks great like the choice in your joinery. That koa looks a like cedar like the contrasts of your wood. Very nice finish keep up the good work.

Great job, I like the joints used. I've seen the jigs for sale, but never seen pics of something actually built with them.

thanks for the kind words, I have the other E-Z Link fixture with the heart design , which is pretty good , I'll have to post later.
