Doug thank you for the wonderfully simple storage idea. I am in the middle of a shop expansion and that will come in handy. The lip on the bottoms is that 1/4 or 3/8 wide? The more I think about the idea it is just great.

I honestly don't remember! I am away from home for the next several weeks, I will have to ask my daughters to measure. I think it is 3/8 or so. Stay tuned for the answer!

@whimsofchaz My#2 daughter confirms the bottom sticks out about 3/8 inch

I used tempered hardboard with the smooth side down. The drawer boxes are pocket holed together, and a couple of screws countersunk in from the bottom holds them in place.

Thanks Doug. That is what I liked about it. So simple yet a easy solution for a lot of different applications. The hard board idea is great also. You are just full of it...ideas I mean.
