Default Christmas present, rubber band gun

What do you get the man who has everything? A rubber band Gatling gun that can shoot 100 rubber bands.

I was scratching my head trying to find something for my Father this year, and couldn't think of anything. I had a copy of a Scrollsaw magazine on my desk, and this project caught my eye.

Of to the scrap bin I flew in a flash, grabbed some knotty walnut, poplar and ash. It was a fun but challenging enough project, with about 35 different pieces, and as many holes that needed drilling. Finish is a mix of spray on poly and paste wax.

The hardest part was finding nylon kite string in December, the Jute I ended up using doesn't quite work as well as it should. I finished it up this morning, now off to the car for Christmas Eve dinner with the family.

The perfect gift for the kid in all of us. Great job, Doug. Your dad should love this.

Merry Christmas

Too cool Doug . Wish there was video

Richard Gatling has always been interesting to me . The Gatling gun was invented 100 years before my birthday and both our first names are Richard .
Just some useless information lol

Unlike me, you don't have to buy the plans. The gift was a hit, I may have to make a production run for next year.
