Default getting ready for halloween...

The Mrs. wanted a few decorations for halloween, and saw a pattern in a scrollsaw magazine.

The first 3 are ready for paint, (and 2 extra heads) with 2 more bodies to be cut sometime soon. I would prefer them clearcoated, but I think they are going to be sprayed white.

The assembled skeletons stand about 25 inches tall, and are cut out of 1/4 inch oak plywood. The oak was left over from another project, and I like the way it makes the flames look real.

Flying Dutchman #3R and #5R blades were used to cut it out, and the bones are held together with Goody brand 'ouchless' rubber bands for pony tails. They are flat and slide easily into the saw kerf.

Now Bj, I resemble that remark. The one with the cracked head.
Nice work Doug.

It's obvious that Bj is jealous that he wasn't chosen as a model!
