I don't give a crap who paid for them, its a bad example to set at any time let alone right now.

Many two term presidents have done it, still it's ridiculous. I remember Nancy Regan getting reamed for her spending about 230,000.00 for plates.

I won't say here what I really feel about Bush.

Well it's the first ladies that do this not the husbands. It just seems so wasteful. I don't care if its Bush or Reagen or whoever.

it just shows these people are so out of touch with real people and real economics. they are like kings, tax the poor so they can have more lol

I thought that it was to stimulate the economy, a bit like after ww11 when America and England kept contracts for military equipment going, rather than cancel and have huge unemployment. As late as 1950 I was buying surplus equipment with near current date stamps.

Harry I wouldn't doubt if this was ordered from a French company or another foreign nation, stimulating nothing here. I'll try to find out who made them.

Sorry guys to close this down, but please try to avoid politicial discussions on the forum. I really don't like "restricting" open discussions, but religion and politics is are subjects I like to avoid as people tend to take it personally.
