I have gone through this before with 98 and 2000. I will let others have all the headaches this time. I have yet to accept Vista so I am skeptical.

Womdows 7 has been rock solid. It is great so far!

The best thing is if a program will not work it just tells you ahead of time and deos not load a bad program(at least so far on my system).

I notice a snappier response right away.

You must remember this is really a complete overhaul. I wouldn't try it unless you have a newer system though. It supposedly is bettter than Vista on weak systems, but I am not sure of that. I stay pretty much on the leading edge of computer equiptment.

I hate Explorer, but explorer 8 is pretty cool with Windows 7 and loads SO fast.

I think this Windows 7 is a winner.

One thing, Firefox seems to take even longer to load, once loaded works well.

I'm sure this new version will be a massive improvement over Vista, they screwed up on Vista, everyone knows it. This time they aren't going to screw up.

I guess I was one person that never had one issue with Vista. I had 64 bit version, 8GB ram and I think they may have been a lot of the problem, Microsoft expecting that hog to work on older smaller systems.

I didn't get around to trying this yet, did anyone?

If so, what do you think?

Nick, i and everyone i have talked to think vista is a piece of crap! im glad one person had some luck with a program that wasnt compatible with printers, scanners of any brand. and when you called microsoft said they couldnt help you! my next computer will definitely be a mac. my son has one and they really do work. i congratulate you on the good luck. you seem anxious for the new windows. i will not screw up my computer more adding something else from microsoft. the first version of windows i had years ago was better than vista!

light travels faster than sound, this is why some people seem bright til you hear them speak.
