Default A tour through Reminton's Factory

This youtube video is quite interesting. The high tech and/or modern use of machinery both in the metal work and the wood work required to produce the modern firearm. I enjoyed the video, hope that you will too.

My son found a book on gun making in the 19th century in the Appalachia Mountains. Keep in mind that most of the firearms were done by hand.......just like furniture. It even had photos of the anvils used to shape the octagon barrels.

You can't drive a bridge spike with a tack hammer(so I'm told)

It opened just fine for me Jerry and I thank you for posting such an interesting video. I would be surprised if the technology hasn't advanced since the video was made.

Mine is a model 700 BDL bought in the early 1960s. Served me well over all those years providing a lot of venison in the North Dakota Badlands. I swear by the Remington name.

It goes to my grandson now that I am no longer in shape for the rugged hunting I used to do.

Thank you Theo for another very interesting video, however if I had a choice I would buy a Remington!
