I know what you mean Levon, my grandson is almost 3 going on 8

He calls me "Grumpa" and my wife says it fits the bill to a "T"

Default reindeer

so Bob did you try thr reindeer. it took awhile to make the pattern, then i tried the reindeer. i think before i try it again i will get a 1/8 or 1/16th blade. also im on a learning curve with the bandsaw.but the 1/4 inch blade is hard to make the tight curves with. but the great thing is you dont have to be good to please a 4 year old grandson. his face made my day when i peeled off the extra pieces.

Nice job Levon and I know the little one was pleased. I have not made one yet as I have several other projects going at the moment. I like to save things for a later day when I find them.

If you are going to go to a 1/8 inch blade, you will need to get either Cool Blocks or the Carter adapter for your BS or you will ruin the smaller blade quickly

thanks Bob for the info about the cool blocks. my saw came with blocks, but i will change them out. also i may need to get a stone to round out the back of the blades. but i enjoyed what i did. as i say, it takes a little getting used to cutting on a bandsaw.
