Exclamation CCLEANER: Important Notice

Piriform - Security Notification for CCleaner v5.33.6162 and CCleaner Cloud v1.07.3191 for 32-bit Windows users

Doesn't sound like any damage was actually done, but you might want to update, PRONTO.

I'm not sure what terrifies me the most, the detail required to make that attack, or the fact I understood barely 5% of the entire article.
Luckily I have not used that cleaner.

I haven't used it for a couple of years but thanks for posting the warning.

I use it regularly along with anti virus software. Appreciate the note.

For those using the Free version, Piriform has a special on the Professional version at the moment - $19.95 instead of $24.95, plus an additional 10% off if you use the Coupon Code. So, $17.95 is the total cost, electronic download.

Tom; is that an annual fee or a one-time charge?

Dan,

My receipt says that I bought an electronic copy of CCleaner Professional, nothing was said about an annual cost - but then I haven't read all the fine print. Amazon sells the same product

https://www.amazon.com/Ccleaner-Prof.../dp/B00BS42EW4

and nothing is stated there about an annual renewal fee.

The CCleaner Malware Fiasco Targeted at Least 18 Specific Tech Firms _ WIRED.html

Seems like this may grow deeper and farther, as most of these attacks do lately.

Be Careful out there everyone.
