Question Memories become immortal in signature

I'm not sure what forum I saw this but it was very insightful. It dealt with having memories of someone but they became immortal when the person passed on. Any help is most welcome.

I don't know the quote you are looking for, but one of my favorites is "You die twice. The first is when you stop breathing and the second time is in the future when your name is spoken for the last time."

There is a book titled "A Political Companion to Walt Whitman" where there is the concept of our life experience leaving a mark on every atom, transforming the matter then passed on to future generations. Though the self disintegrates, it leaves on organic signature on the world.

Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but there are many more here

No issue with me at least, I believe in reincarnation. Yes, honestly. Lost a potential girlfriend once when I told her that, and I wouldn't tell her I was joking - I wasn't.

tomp913, hard to plow through all of them. Thanks. I'll just have to trust to luck and hope that the person replies to a thread.
