Default FireFox Quantum has been released

Then, they came out with 57.0. If y'all have not tried it, please do, it behaves very well and it's fast, and it activates quickly now from your desktop pc. They did a really good thing, congrats Mozilla....
it's slicker than deer parts on a door knob...

Here is the link for download.....

If you want to make it even faster, try this-

NoScripts is available too...

customize it, change it back, rearrange, whatever just click on those 3 horizontal bars in the upper right hand corner...
fire65, TenGees, Cricket and 2 others like this.

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

Stick....

Stick ~ Thanks for sharing this info, especially the askvg website. I use Windows 10 Pro with Mozilla as my main browser and noticed the animation tabs. Will give everything a fair trial before attempting to customize. Was wondering if you have a preference for Google's "Snap" screen saver vs Windows Snipping Tool screen saver.

"Slicker than deer parts on a doorknob"? Sounds like voice of experience.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

The new look of it is clunkie

Terrible wifi on my home pute but actually got a bit of boost.

I've had broadband since '98 (not windows98, well yea... ?!?!? whatever)
and after all these years you'd think it would be an eyeblink of speed by now.

Oh well.

Been using it for most of the last week and it is noticeably faster. Had a lot of crashes on this site with the previous version, but this seems more stable. Will take another week to get used to the move home icon.

make it faster - Go here and disable animations...

I use an old version of Gadwin Print Screen...
simple to use and set up...
free older versions can still be had...

I have either NT2000, XP or W7...
I haven't any Google and group on any of my computers...
don't run Java Script...
have IE10 and 11 blocked...
tight reins on IE8 and IE9... (essentially all but the bare bones turned off)...
What ever Microshid is trying to sell/stuff it to me I have found an alternate...

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

I go back and forth between Chrome and Firefox. This latest version of Firefox has brought be back to it. One reason I had left was that older versions of Firefox would peg the CPU meter, so much so that the fan on my laptop would spin up full bore. Restarting Firefox was the only fix. That seems to be fixed, so far.
