Anyone else lost money at an ATM machine ?
If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have none at all .
Last week I was at a local convenience store , and went to get some cash from there ATM machine .
Well normally I take out $100, but I get tired of going back, so on occasion I get $200 instead .
Well the machine acted a little strange , as it seemed to hesitate more that usual as it was doing the transaction.
I here a bunch of shuffling inside it , and then it says remove your card and cash .
Spits out a receipt for $203 , as it charges you $3 for the transaction.
The bad news , there was no money!
I phoned the help number on the ATM machine , and the women tells me I must get my bank to look into it , as the withdrawal came from my bank .
Just a heads up , this ATM is not the same bank as mine .
So I go to my bank to verify that it was debited from my account, and there was in fact $203 removed from my account .
I take the two slips showing the transactions to the bank across the street from the convenience store that is the same bank as the ATM , and they tell me I must get my bank to launch an investigation , because it came out of my account.
But when I go to my bank , they tell me they cannot do an investigation into there system , so they must do it .
In other words , I’m not getting my money!
So user beware , I’m pretty sure if you use an ATM at your local bank , there won’t be any issues if there’s a screw up , but if your using a third party machine at a store etc , you may get screwed as I did .
I hate the parking at my bank , so as much as I hate paying the $3 transaction fee elsewhere , it’s worth the headache sometimes. But not this time .
For now on, I’m going into my bank and getting a teller to get my cash , as I’m not using ATM machines period!
When the teller asks my why I’m bugging her and not using the ATM, I’ll tell her that I get a bad taste in my mouth from using them , as I’m not to keen on using them after losing over $200 recently
I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate
