Default Mozilla Firefox update?

I keep getting pop-ups for downloading the MFF update, 57.0.3 on my laptop. Not a computer person but has anyone downloaded this update? Is it worth it? If not, how can I keep the pop-up from appearing again? BTW, I do like MFF and it was recommended by the computer guru that is the computer support/trouble shooter for the county school system. TIA.

The updates fix security issues, add features and yes may change the look of the screen, You keep all software up to date especially the operating system. browser, and anti-virus.

Open source software seems to be faring better than Micro$oft these days. Their stock is moribund compared to Apple, finally approaching their 2003 price per share. Only stock I ever lost money on--should have known better.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

I use Adblock + with MFF to keep the pop ups under control.
