Unhappy There is no there there!!!???

In my opinion this is one of the most stupid phrases I have ever heard. I hear this on TV all the time and really didn't know what it ment until today when I looked it up on the net. Since I looked it up I kinda know what it means. I really just wanted to find out what you guys thought about this phrase?

I think it is news media stupidity. I’ve noticed in recent times the print media has developed a passion for fancy words. I don’t care for that either. I feel they are trying to falsely impress us with their false news stories.

For some reason, it has always made sense to me because I've always thought it means, "there's nothing there".

Sounds, right, Ken. I think it makes more sense when spoken with inflection then when seen in print.
Still...Pretty sure the person of whom we must not speak wasn't planning on having his 'insight' spread all over the media! LOL!!

Hmmm. Wonder who that is of whom we mustn't speak.
