I'm old enough to remember Falcons, but I've never even seen a picture of one nesting. I worked on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and I saw lots of strange nesting behavior there. It seems that natural disasters often upset the natural order of things. We found a Corsair nesting on a rooftop, and a green & yellow Gator nesting on the bottom of a swimming pool. Some Coffins floated out of their nests in the ground.
“We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it and stop there lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove lid again and that is well but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore.” - Mark Twain
