Thanks, Stick. I remember all those guys. The fact that we had men like than compared to the Hollywood cowards we have today is why we still have our freedoms that are being eroded by what we have today. It’s not just in Hollywood but in most walks of life. May God help us in the future.

Yes, I recall all of them. And willing to bet that most, if not all, volunteered.

Greg Boyington was in the PTO. I have his biography and the TV series was based on his life and the book, Baa Baa, Black Sheep.
I was thinking...can you imagine Don Adams as a USMC drill instructor? They don't make them like they used to!

Thanks for the reminder, Stick - that's quite the list - there were only two or three that I wasn't familiar with.

And THIS is what today's "stars" do: need I say more?? Bruce???, I mean Caitlyn?? I mean, I don't know.

I was surprised by how many there were. Did they make any movies from 41 to 45? It looked like just about all of them were fighting.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

There were a number of movies as a lot of movie stars were not eligible for military service. John Wayne was one as noted on the link.
Trivia- John Wayne (Marion Morrison) almost went to the Naval Academy but wound up in movies.
For detailed biographies on just about any entertainer, go to www.imdb.com and enter the name of the person. It even gives their birth name! You might be surprised at what you find.
