So how is it that we a building a pipeline to pump oil from Canada into our heartland so our gas will be cheaper?

Just got back from the store, saw the reader board at the gas station that gives real time price ,they fluctuate instantly and regular E-10 was $3.39/gal. and diesel $3.29?gal.

Yes, Quenten; great question. We're kind a wondering the same thing ourselves. At least 3, maybe 4, Cdn. refineries have been decommissioned over the past couple of decades.
We sell crude but can't make enough of our own refined products.

The oil companies are giving us the finger but it is next to the one in your post. They make record profits on our pain and misery.

And I heard a good one the other day (in Ontario) - the reason the price went up here is because they switched to "summer" gas. I gotta say, I've never heard that excuse before.
