Default WW show order - Woodpecker - Disappointed

I had emailed Woodpecker about being at the WW show and asked if they were going to be there and if so, if I could pick up a router plate for my Dewalt. They said yes. So I went to the show on Saturday, they didn't have the plate but was told that they would ship it to me the following week. I paid for it and went on my way. Well I called today, 5 days later, and was told that they just got the tickets yesterday and it would be Monday or Tuesday before it would go out so that makes it getting here on Thursday... 12 days after paying and placing the order.....
Don't think I'll be making this mistake again.....

I just checked my history of Invoices at Woodpecker and have ordered for them 41 times. Every single time I got fantastic service. I recently got a miter 5000 for my birthday which was two days ago. My wife got it for me ordered it and it came exactly on my birthday like they said it would.

I bet if you just ordered off the web site you would have received your item in a few days. When ordering from shows they do have to collect all the info and then get it back to the office, and then process it. The same thing happened to me when I ordered from Sommerfeld at a show(There was a delay).

Woodpecker is great and I would definitely give them another chance as ordering from the show is not the same as ordering directly from them. I had have nothing but a great experience with them over the years, never one return and always fast shipping, sometimes amazingly fast.

Yea it's not Woodpecker the company...kinda....but ordering at shows when they should have stuff there to sell. I'll probably order online from now own. Saves gas and the $6 parking and $9 entrance fee.

I don't wish to sound like I'm against WW shows. They are great! I'm with Nick, when ordering, best to do so either through their web site, or directly from an outlet store, (if available).

Don't get me wrong.. got a lot of ideas and learned a lot but I feel that when you contact a company a week before the show about buying one of their products and then you get there and they don't have it and then they make you believe that they will ship it out the following week......
Guess its too much to ask.

What a mistake... and all I can say is that I hope their products are a LOT better than their customer service..... Still nothing from them as of today......12 days since order. One person saying they would have the plates at the show, then the guy at the show putting "RUSH" on the ticket and telling me they would ship it the following week...and then last Thursday the lady who checked on my order said it would go out Tuesday and I was only 2 day shipping away......
Ok.... I'm better...thanks for allowing me to vent.

hi Palmer.
i know nothing of this company. i have seen their catalogues. it would seem to me that a company that charges such exorbant prices would do better.

they need to know how bad they look to each person you tell of this.

harbor freight has a much better track record than this and sells a lot cheaper product.

i have never ordered from this company and thanks to your experience wont.

I have purchased from their website several times in the past and have always received excellent service and quality product. I am surprised to hear of your difficulty with them. Perhaps pick up the phone and ask for the highest person in managment you can get to and discuss your dis-satisfaction with them. I'll bet you would get results in a hurry

I emailed them this afternoon and told them that I hope that the quality of their products was better than their customer service. And in todays business, making sales is one thing but delivery better be somewhere close to the top. We will see if they even respond.

Palmer, ordering from a WW show means you save money over regular pricing. The sales rep at the show should of told you how long it would take to ship. If he gave you incorrect information then a quiet word to management would correct this. Most of the companies stand behind their products but everyone has the odd screw up. Give them a chance to make it right. If they don't, PM me about it. I have been highly successful at expediting problem orders. This is because when I ask, I am doing so as the voice of 25K members and the results get published.
