Default A small change made a big difference

Members may remember the doggy clock that I routed for my wife, well the position where it's mounted has no direct light so the numerals are difficult to see being black, so I've just filled them in with acrylic ceiling white. The first numeral I was very careful, using a very fine brush and it seemed to take forever so from then on I wasn't at all careful because when it was dry, I used a chisel to cut away the surplus then applied one coat of shellac followed when dry with a good rub a dub dub of clear shoe polish.

I really like the change not only can you see it better, it just looks so much better.

I prefer dark grey numbers on an ebony field. That way, time doesn't seem to move as quickly.

Nice job, Harry.

Harry, clever idea. The contrast makes all the difference. Not bad for an old guy...(ducking)
