Default This is for Rainman.

You unjustly accused me of making that foot stool. So, here are a few of my designs. Unfortunately, I seem to have left my note book with the 'good' designs in my truck, so these will have to do. I am sure you will agree, these are every day type cane handle designs, one of my proposed coat tree feet, and one of the coat tree hook designs.

No specific order. The large bird cane handle is one of my favorites. The original is not a bird, just plain, but it is very comfortable, so a favorite.

Oh, you did, you did. I must have cried for at least a half an hour. Then I got over it.

Actually, these designs were very easy to come up with. I just thought to myself, Self, what would Rick do? And I did it.

The other day I took my other sketch book, the one in the truck, the one with the good designs, to do some while at the doctor's office. Showed some of the designs to the ladies at the desk. One said, 'Oh, what a nice giraffe'. And all along I had been thinking it was an extinct rhino.

Found my other sketch notebook, the one with the 'good' designs. So I figured I post a few of them too. Nothing odd about any of these, unlike the stool with the leg legs. Just ordinary cane handles. Of course, they all have been designed while I am unable to get back in the shop, so that could have a minor influence on their designs. One thing about it, you can't say I copy anyone else's cane handle designs, all original.

You didn't actually make me cry Rick, or even make me sad. Nyah, nyah, nyah.

This is likely the last of my rough sketches I will post, kept a few back, the really good ones. I won't show the finalized ones, they're tucked away. All in all, I've got somewhere between 40 and 100 different cane handle designs, I lost count long ago.

I really, really, need to get back in the shop. Problem with that tho. Had planned on getting out there by now. But back has been bad, have to move slow, and if I move the wrong way, or sneeze, it's about like getting smacked with a ball bat. Couple that with the fact that I have to get rid of some stuff in the shop, then move some stuff INTO the shop, ain't in the shop yet. So, I design. But at least I don't design any weird designs.

Sorry to hear about your back . That’s not a fun place to be, and I can relate.
To make matters worse, it’s a shame when you have a lot of time on your hands , but can’t use your shop

I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

Oh, I've had a bad back for years. The VA diagnosed me with arthritis of the spine, when I retired from the Army in '81. But they couldn't tell me what type. Been able to work around it until recently, must have hurt it somehow, but no idea how. I'm going to have to either hire someone to do the lifting on the things in my shop I need to get rid of, not that much, or get on my son's case to do it, he owes me. There's a nice office chair I need in there, so I can sit in comfort and work; along with a batch of cut plywood. Plywood is cut just under 10"X48", which I could handle a piece at a time, but not all the trips back and forth and up and down the steps. And doubt I could even lift the chair. Either him for hire someone. Then I've got some stuff that will go in the house; that I can do over time, no biggie. Take me likely a couple of months minimum to do what it will take someone else maybe an hour or so to do. Bah. Humbug. So I design cane handles.
