THanks, Harry, That certainly explains the urgency behind Pres.Trumans' decision to use the A-Bomb.

Very interesting, Harry. My Dad was already on a troop ship headed toward the marshaling points for the invasion when the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He would have been in the first wave of the invasion and if not for the A Bomb, I would probably never existed. It's scary to think that Japan was that close to having the aircraft that would have wreaked havoc on the effort. Thanks!
