Default Ring box

Sunny Bob, you might like this one. I don't make stuff like this, not a ring box at any rate, figure you would have a jewelry box to put a ring in, with less chance of the ring come up missing or something. Still, I'm sure a lot of people would like to receive one.

If I were to make something like this, I would probably take it with me, and use it as a fancy coaster - just to tick some people off. Hehehehe

and here is mine, made for my granddaughter's wedding. When asked to make it I had no idea what a ring box looked like so it just evolved. The pdf at the bottom shows how I made it.

To me, the hinges ruin the look of such small boxes. Consider the barrel hinge, about 3/8ths. About $10 for four on amazon. Use stop blocks on a fence on your drill press to align top and bottom and spacing. Each side is about half an inch long so be careful to avoid drilling too deep.

For really delicate projects, Amazon lists a 5mm barrel hinge. https://www.amazon.com/Wang-Data-30-...t_sims?ie=UTF8

There are many different types of invisible hinges, some far more robust than others, and many that require drilling and mortising, and that require small screws to mount. Search invisible hinges on Amazon. Amazing variety of choices.

Well, I did leave beautiful out of my title. That is also why I said I would use it as a coaster.

I had never even heard of a ring box, well just the ones a ring comes in, but never about one that someone made. And your's has a LOT of style. Don't want to make one myself, but love looking at stuff you make.
