Default November Contributor of the Month

I’m pleased to announce that our Forum Contributors have chosen Duane Bledsoe as this months Contributor of the Month. Duane has started many interesting threads that have generated lots of interest in our members. He has also posted numerous of his projects. One of the most interesting to me was the leg design on his kitchen table build. He used a window frame style design which turned out to be an interesting departure from the traditional leg and apron design. He’s also done a few tool reviews and I would say they are the best I’ve ever seen here on the forum. Here’s one of them: https://www.routerforums.com/tool-re...le-system.html Congratulations Duane and well done.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Wow! I’m honored and humbled. Thank you all so much!

I’ve been pretty lax about getting online with new projects this summer. Mostly because I’ve been lax at doing any. Work has been crazy busy, far more than normal, but when I wasn’t working or on call I was fishing every chance I got! This was my best bass fishing year ever with several big fish (to me a 3 pounder is big).

But I do have a couple of projects planned for the winter months. Nothing big, one will be a bench made to match the stools on the kitchen table I made, only of normal chair height, not the stool height, and it will have a shelf fixed between the legs to allow for storage of shoes on and below it. Since I built the kitchen table we now have no good place to sit and tie shoes. The stools are 2’ high. It’s a bit inconvenient.

The second project, if we go through with it will be a wall cabinet to hold our flat screen TV on the wall and hidden from view when not in use.

I’m also planning some rod racks for my boat but they likely won’t be made of wood, or at least not all wood. Anything I make I will post, even some PVC rod racks.

Thank you all again for the vote! I appreciate it greatly!
