Thumbs down Cricket, I know it was YOU!

So one of the GREAT features of ANY forum is the ability to go back and edit a misspelled word, correct erroneous information or perhaps more articulately phrase something. It's true I haven't been on in a while, so I missed the initial change over, but I see that the edit button now times out Not cool. It seems that some if not all of the forums that Cricket and her gang are in charge of have moved toward this limited time edit feature. PLEASE restore editing at any given time, rather than an arbitrary window.

Thank you, that's MY input,
Jack Wilson.

I'm not sure when the change happened Jack but it's been that way for a while. I saw the one misspelled word in your saw post I think but just after it was the word correctly spelled so I didn't bother to edit it. We mods still have the ability to go back anytime and edit it for you, you just have to pm one of us. If I see it and I think it will make the post hard to understand I'll go ahead and change it anyway but in this instance I didn't think it was necessary.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Chuck, that's "good" to know, but I still think that autonomy is better.

I just leave out words or get them the wrong order in addition to the bad spelling...

I correct the ones that look like simple typos and may change or alter the desired message of the post but not all the ones I notice (which are in the hundreds! LOL!).

My eyesight is not what it used to be, so I wish we had the ability to edit for 24 hours. I often go back and revise what I write after looking at it for awhile. I would love to have 24 hours of editing time.

How much time do you think you would need to correct typos and mistakes?
You do realize that if there is no time Limit a person could go back and change the post in such a way that it would not match the replies given to the Original post.
I have not check it out, He used to be 30 minutes
