Question Touchy Screen?

My new laptop is proving very hard to get used to and it's because one only has to ever so slightly touch the screen & it completely goes off the page I was looking at.I am not computer savvy enough to know how to switch this facility off,so can some one offer advise please? James jj777746.

Count yourself as fortunate. My laptop does that completely on its own. It also shifts stuff. And if I restart it, it does not just restart, it reboots completely from scratch.

James....

see if this helps:

How do I turn on touch screen on Lenovo Yoga?
Enable and disable your touchscreen in Windows 10

In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, then select Device Manager.
Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and select HID-compliant touch screen.
Select the Action tab at the top of the window. Select disable or enable.

I have an HP touchscreen laptop. I have windows 10 Home Edition.

Go to the windows button on the bottom left of the screen and click
Then go down to "Windows System" and click and that opens a sub menu
Choose the "Control Panel" and click

Go down the list to "Tablet PC Settings"

In that menu you can click on "Calibrate"

You will see double lines top, bottom and both sides and an + symbol appears in the upper left corner. Touch each + as it appears, there are a total of 8 + symbols that will appear and accept the calibration.

Hopefully that will calibrate the touch screen. If you have a pen you can also calibrate the pen as well in the same menu.

Good Luck. PS I hate Windows but loving using my laptop.
