Default One for the audiophiles

In spite of being in the audio industry in the 50's/60's I never came across this device.

A guy had one similar on American pickers a few shows back. That is pretty cool.

Ah, I have seen, or read, about those, many, many, years ago. Hardly small enough to fit into a pocket tho. Seems it would be easy to damage the record what with it sticking out so far.

I remember seeing a picture of one like that, a long, long time ago. Never seen one in real life, though.

I used to work with a guy who had an in car record player.
Sat on the front glove shelf and played 45 rpm singles. On a bumpy road it was hilarious. But the spring pressure on the arm was so great it wore out the record in a few dozen plays.
