Default Bye bye, Rosita.

Hi folks.
Last sunday our pet, Little Rose, passed away. It was a very hard moment to take its body to the vet to be incinerated. She was with us for more than nine years and also was our unique fellow after our sons became expatriates. It was painful to tell to them about its decease.

The worst part of pet ownership is when they die. We know it's gonna happen one day,but we're never ready for it & it takes a long time to get over it.Alexis I'm sorry for your loss,James.

I have had this pain too many times, but the joy they bring while they are here makes it worth it.

My condolences to you, sir. I also know that feeling of loss, all too well. I have started woodturning Pet Cremation Urns in an effort to help those of us who still would like to have the memories and reminders nearby. I've made urns for my Father's ashes. I don't know why, but I am fascinated with the Urn making process, and I took a class from Steve Pritchard at John C. Campbell Folk School last Fall. Since then I have made a few better ones ready for other close friends' pets.

I don't look forward to losing my current Wonder Dog, Shadow. She's the best pet I've ever had, and she's a great athletic and family oriented black lab.
