At my age? When I stopped chasing young women, and started chasing older women. No more 18 an 19 year olds, now it is only older women, 25 to 30 year olds. The joy part is when one is slower than me.

Joy is a voluntary state. I feel it when my wife smiles over something I've done or made or said. Feel it when my daughter closes a new client. When I'm around some of my favorite doctors and clients at the national convention. When we have a parfect spring or fall day out here in the desert. When the wildflowers bloom in my yard. When a project finally comes together. When I can contribute to someone in a way that is meaningful to them. And I will feel particular joy when Rick finally insulates--but I may pass away before that happens.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

Is that a promise Rick? I liked Tom's answer.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

That first mug of coffee. A well fitting joint. Sunshine and the desert air. Lemon pie. The first saguaro blooms. A truck load of mesquite slabs. A good wife and a good truck. The smell of rain. All simple pleasures in a simple life.

Rick, that doesn't seem to be up to me anymore. Lots of hospital time in the last 2 years, died once, two heart attacks, TIA, pneumonia, breathing crisis. Better get at it Rick. You know you'll love it once it's done.

I spent some time yesterday at a lunber yard finding something to make a box with. Looking forward to it.

A trip to the Doctor, and he tells me keep doing what you are doing see you in a year.
