A young neighbor who as a freshman in college, needed a job to help pay for his studies. We needed work done at our house, so I hired him. That has turned into my becoming his adopted grandfather, which in turn has initialized his love of woodworking. A subscription to Wood Magazine and many Saturdays are now spent working in my workshop on projects has cemented his passion. Now he's working full time, but still enjoys the sawdust!

I will introduce him to RouterForums.com soon

The day I have to resort to facebook instead of a forum is the day I stop using my computer for much of anything but looking at old cartoons on youtube. That and searching for books I want to buy, and researching pictures for future projects. Facebook, bah, humbug.

Of course I'm not busy, I did it right the first time.
Call me a craftsman, artisan, or artistic, and I will accept that. Call me an artist and you will likely get a quite rude comment in return. I am not a @#$%ing artist.

Wife uses Face book to stay in touch with her large family. It's on a cell phone. I don't even know how to operate a cell phone. I'm lucky to be able to re heat coffee in the microwave.

There is so much garbage on the internet, like this one, perhaps someone can tell me how it's supposed to work!

It's designed to run, well, nothing. A resistor and coil on a DC circuit pretty much kills all voltage. I think this is an electronics joke.

Join the crowd, Herb. Come to think of it, there might not be too many of us...that will admit it.

When I was a kid, I came to understand how a triode vacuum tube worked to amplify a weak signal into a strong one. Way cool. Remember how those tubes glowed? Recall how you used to take a pile of them to a store to test them? Long, long ago in dog years.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.
