Harry, is that spray can high gloss?
I am tempted to try spray can instead of wipe on.

Yes Bob, I stopped using wipe-on a long time ago, too much like hard work, I only use rattle can paints and lacquers, very quick drying, 10 to 15 minutes on an average day.

I have the trend version. It comes with a quite good instruction sheet. Or it would be if it wasnt printed sideways on a 1/4 strip of A4 and then folded concertina style?? !

It also came with a set of brass shims, so that if you sharpened them you could use the shims to get back the even spacing. i've used mine quite a bit but havent attempted sharpening any router bits yet.
It's actually an el-cheapo from Ebay which after the re-work performs well.

i have had mixed results with wipe on. Some, beautiful. Some, 4 attempts and sanding off each time before it even becomes presentable.
I'm convinced the tree huggers have reduced the oil content on the brand of varnish I use, so I think spray on will be my next try.

Do make sure that it is thinners based, not Turpentine.
