Default I'm upsidedown....litterally!

I know that I live downunder but this is ridiculous, the picture on my monitor went upsidedown! When re-booting, the "Windows" screens were the right way up but from the desk top everything was upsidedown and the mouse worked back to front. Just prior to this happening I replaced the batteries in my cordless keyboard. I tried a corded mouse and keyboard to no avail so I rang the "experts" who built my computer and they said it sounded like a virus and if I took it in to them it would be looked at by the end of next week! I then rang another shop that I've been happy with in the past and they reckoned that it sounded like a combination of keys had been pressed and that with the help of the internet they would have to work out the combination to restore correct working and they couldn't help until Monday.
Well, after the mentioning the internet I Googled "picture upsidedown" and there were over a million hits. The reason for the problem was that the Ctrl, Alt and the down arrow had been pressed and the answer was to press the Ctrl, Alt and the up arrow and that did the trick!

I had to try it, but for some odd reason Ctrl+Alt+down arrow didn't work for me.

Maybe that's a good thing though...

HI Harry

It pays to read the posted items on the forum..I use it all the time to give IT's and Administrator a bad time...it's no big deal but in the post I did it shows how to use the keys to set it up...so the user can take a break at work without getting into hot water.. but it only works a time or two they do cache on quick...

That is actually the way your eyes send the information on your screen to your brain... your brain then interprets it so everything looks like you expect it to...
