Default I had to post because this is what I believe

I don't intend to start another controversial thread so I don't mind if the thread is closed so long as it remains.

Thank you Harry. Public Relations does not require truth or good science. The little girl who lectured the world is a pathetic thing and only served to inform us of what the true believers are doing to abuse our children and grandchildren.

If you'd like a good read on the topic, get the book "Inconvenient Facts," on Amazon, which takes the so called science to task. At that point, you begin to see why there's so much corporate support for this dingy area of government. Proposals are to spend between $10 and #16 TRILLION dollars on programs that up front admit to no significant change in CO2 levels. It is the corporations that will reap the money as they come up with gadgets, gizmos, programs that may or may not help. Because without China, India, Indonesia, the emerging nations engagement, there will be no significant change, just spending, taxes and no change.

I wish the focus were on pollution, real pollution, which I think many of us would support reducing. That's the stuff that is killing people, shortening lifespans and utterly out of control all over the third and emerging worlds.

Harry, thanks for the link. So it is saying the sky isn't falling! You know the old saying- Figures never lie but liars always figure.
A number of years ago, my father was a member of the local Civitan chapter. I was given time off work to hear Tennessee representative, Bill Brock speak at their luncheon meeting. Mr. Brock stated that the government looks for a cause or supposed problem so they can throw (yes, throw) money at it.

And speaking of tide...when I can get into waters that I now cannot and when I can float over the house I'm in, then I'll believe all the ice is melting and the water is rising. Somebody give the extremists a tape measure...PLEASE...

I agree...when the scientists all concur there's a problem, it'll be worth it to listen...until then, I'm going back to my "extremely busy" retirement life...

Politicians should stay out of this issue until a policy is REALLY required...
