I sent this to several people. One friend sides with the students. However, in reflecting over the past 72 years, I came up with a few things. First, what are they going to give up to cut CO2? From 1947 to 1962, we had few electric appliances- one refrigerator/freezer, one AM radio, oscillating fans in the bedrooms, one B&W TV. WE finally got two air conditioners when we moved to Queens, NY. One was a small window unit and the other went into the sleeve in the living room. The setting of the two-family units only allowed breeze breeze from one direction. How much electricity did we consume? We did have two cars as my parents worked two different places from 1956-1962. My father did carpool with three other people who worked at the same place. Why don't we go back to the 1940s...the good ol' days that no one wants?
