Default It vanished!

A day or two ago I posted a thread that was a statement of fact and so not controversial. I can't find the said thread so assume that a forum moderator has deleted it. I'm OK with that but wouldn't it be common courtesy to email me,giving the reason for the deletion?

They don't like Alan Jones or Australia.

I had a similar experience a while back but I am not a regular member here. It would be civilised if threads did not disappear without warning. On the rare occasion I post it is because the thread interests me.

It's in 'moderated' status, Harry. I don't know why...

It would be nice if you emailed those who post in a thread when it comes back on. I do not even remember the subject of the one I had disappear. I only visit when a daily digest topic peaks my interest.

Ditto, sort of... I hit 'New Posts / Last Day' many times each day and if I see something that piques my interest or needs attention I check it out. We don't have any way of knowing if a thread comes back unless it gets new comments and moves back to the top of the list again.
