Just as a side note, one of the earliest rocket fuels was created by pumping hydrazine and fuming nitric acid into the rockets reaction chamber. I don't imagine you wanted to be anywhere near it when that happened. I haven't heard of it being used for that in decades now.
My point is that 9 people commented on it and 140 clicked on it. I'm assuming that out of the 9 comments maybe one person got through the first few sentences. So it shows that the members on this site really can ignore topics that aren't of any interest to them. That being the case I would think it's not necessary for certain posts to be deleted. Just saying....

As long as they aren't religious or political in nature. Jokes about politics are allowed as long as they aren't specific to a person or party. E.G. How do you know when a politician is lying? Ans: His lips are moving.

Hmmm. We have to add political correctness to the forbidden list.

Stick’s original question about “jet fuel” could be closer than one thinks. I’m not schooled in chemistry but it seems that a lot of the compounds mentioned are highly explosive.

Art, you sly old dog, you were giving us a test and we fell for it. I got about 1/3 of the way through and by then I realized it wasn't sawdust related so gave it up, but did understand what the article was saying. I have had a fair amount of Chemistry , so could relate to some of the facts. I did realize that it is extremely dangerous to be handling.
I dropped out of chemistry when the only question on the test in my 3rd year in the university was to jot down the formula for the red pigment in a Geranium blossom. Which the day before the professor spent the whole hour filling the blackboard with symbols depicting what it was.
Come to think about it, I believe that professors name was Art too. LOL

I made it to Black powder, blew the back gate off it's hinges, and quit with the home based chemistry thing.
