Thanx all!!

Spent the last couple days "helping" (I use the term loosely) out at my wife's shop and had a run in with a ladder that was tired of standing up and decided to collapse while I was near the top step. Sitting here with my ribs wrapped hoping they're just bruised. If not starting to feel better by Monday I may have to make a visit. Will share details in a few days - hopefully.

Birthday Thursday, hurt Friday, 40th anniversary Saturday. Heck of a way to keep from having to take Mama out. lol

I pray it is nothing that will have you down for a while. I don't think I would want that to happen to me, I don't bounce very well.

Glad you're OK. Got bruised ribs from Resuscitation a few years ago and it took months to heal completely. Pretty painful. I think you should get a re-run of the birthday.

Happy Birthday, John. Yeah, I know, it's a little late but the meaning is still the same! I hope you have a good year.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Went to the ER Sunday morning in "extreme" pain -- results were 4 broken ribs --- but no internal damage to anything else. Tongue got cut too, on impact. They don't wrap or bind you anymore. Pain pills, take it easy, and suffer til it starts healing. Can't cough, sneeze, or blow my nose. Learning to use the legs and arms a lot more, though. And deer season starts for real in 3 weeks. This sucks!!

Ladders are not friendly. After stepping off two of them, I thought I was on the bottom rung, I don’t stand on anything higher than a paper towel.

The worst part, I was talking to the same neighbor both times.
