Default What a figure

Our western Australian channel 9 held it's annual telethon in aid of research into childhood diseases this weekend and raised a massive $42,596,034! Bear in mind that the population of WA is only about 2.5 million people in spite of the state being about 2.5 million square Km with most of the population living around our massive coastline.

Says a lot about the kind of people who live there. I know the figures for deaths from childhood cancers used to be near 100 percent and that currently 80 percent survive.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

I am a firm believer that 99.44% of the people in this world are good folks who care about kids. It's the bad apples that get all of the press, unfortunately.

It's good to see positive news like this to reaffirm our faith in our fellow man.
