Default Amazing use of expanded poly styrene

Foam isn't just for insulation and sign making. I found this highway repair technique fascinating.

I wasn’t aware of this . Will be interesting to see how it holds up . Being a heavy density,I suspect it will work well .
Another benefit in colder climate areas may possibly be eliminating frost heaves

What a great idea, it reminds me of Balsa wood which is thought of as a soft wood but in fact is a hard wood.
