Hi, Harry.
It is a very nice project indeed.
In your PDF I'd like to know how you did to pass from picture 14 to picture 15. For a project that I am thinking at, I need a recess like the one shown at picture 25. I can do this at my lathe but the pieces are not thicke enoughr for a proper chuck installation.

I really don't know what happened there Alexis, it was a long time ago. After the initial cut shown, it was just a matter of moving the router up and down and all around until the rebate was clean. The template guide in the template won't allow the bit to go further than that first cut. These days I would probably use a bottom cleaning bit with a larger template guide to leave the same offset.
