I’ve been around posting here and there . Still hacking my brains out . Tuesday will be one month stuck in bed and on the couch . Thank god I’m not working , as they only paid 8 days sick leave . This is new to me as I’ve never been this sick before . Zero energy and sleeping 14 hours a day .
Stayed in emergency overnight, and they threw a bucket of pills at me trying to get my heart rate down.
I do have atrial fibrillation, but my pills keep my heart rate down to the mid 80’s at rest .
The other day while I was napping , my Apple Watch alerted me that my HR had been at 160 for five minutes with no activity.
I was feeling very weird m sort of light headed, so I went to emerg.

Seems like this bug is going threw different phases , as now my hearing is about half . Have to try one of those nasal things you clean out your inner ear tubes with ,as it’s driving me crazy

Hope you get better soon Rick.BTW,has anyone ever advised you to do some deep breathing when your heart starts racing, or any time really? I get palpitations at times(not the same as you) but I know the heart muscle appreciates fresh oxygenated blood all the time & not just when under stress,& deep breathing exercise works for me. Good luck mate. James.

Whenever my heart rate goes high it's because I'm dehydrated. Try drinking a bottle of water and see if it helps. It sure can't hurt you.

Pushing like you are delivering or having a bowel movement will slow the heart rate down also.

You were on target, James, no 'gate crashing' involved.
(If I complained it'd be the old pot calling kettle thing...)

Holy cow Rick. Take care. Dehydration combined with alcohol will get you and mess with your heart rate. I died on a plane once from that combo. We'd all like to see you stick around.
