Default Ear Savers

For those of you that are following my original post, I thank you. If you haven't seen it, here is a link.

I am opening up my offer to anyone that could use these ear savers such as first responders, and healthcare professionals. That includes residents and staff at nursing homes/retirement facilities, etc.

The only thing I ask is that you pay for shipping. I can ship via USPS to anywhere they deliver. The small flat Rate box will hold at least 50 and possibly more of the ear savers. USPS charges $7.65 for the small flat rate box shipped to the US. I just sent one to a RN that works in a hospital in Honolulu, Hi. She was complaining about her ear being rubbed raw from the elastic band on the mask. These straps will relieve that pain.

I am getting feedback from others expressing how appreciative they are of our donation.

Just to be clear, I am not charging anything for the ear savers, just the cost of shipping. In addition, my little printer takes 1 1/2 hours to print 8 of the ear savers, so I can make about 80 per day.

Below are some pictures of the ones I am making. From time to time, I have been experimenting with other styles to see if I can reduce the printing time.

If you know of anyone that can benefit from these straps, send me a PM, or email and I will add them to the list.

Please note these straps do not work with the N95 masks. The elastic bands are different. These straps are designed for the masks that have elastic bands that hook behind the ear.

A note about me. I am retired chemical plant operator. I am trying my best to help those in need of these ear savers.

My Profile

If you would like to make a small donation to help offset the cost of the supplies, send it to my PayPal account.

[email protected]

Thank you very much.
Mike

Keep up the good work, Mike! I would almost consider getting a 3D printer to help with this effort but by the time it gets here, setup, calibrated, and ready to roll we'll probably be past this stage. Besides, any project that requires the purchase of a new tool is a good project! LOL! Still thinking about it...

We're just chugging along!

I have a Wyze camera that normally watches the CNC when it is running. Today, I looked around to see what I could do to get the camera closer to the Ender. Ah-ha! There it was, a quart of Shellac sitting on the shelf. The Camera has a magnetic base, so it was easy to re-position the camera. Now I can watch it from my office as I work on other stuff.

Note: I have Blue Stacks installed on my PC and the WYZE Cameras configured to display. The app eats up a lot of resources so I usually only display one camera at a time.

My son, who is an ER doctor, made something similar. But the hospital wouldn't let him use them because they didn't issue it! Stupid!

It seems I never finish what I
