Default Memorial Day Weekend

So.... what are your plans for the long holiday weekend for those who celebrate it?

We are staying close to home for this one and doing some heavy BBQ cooking out for the immediate family and one special neighbor. I hope to get some shop time in while the Q is smoking and before the guests arrive

Don't forget to honor our Heros on this special day.

Bob this sounds like an invite. So you'd be prepared for the router forum gang. Happy Memorial weekend everyone and thanks to all the veterans that have returned fighting for our country.

Think mostly just stay home, work on the shop to get ready to do something interesting. Work in the yard and just enjoy ourselves.

Going to start a new domino box out of curly maple, for us.
We'll be having a house guest for a week. A cute little dog named Jodi that belongs to some friends.

HI Bob

That's real nice of you ,,,it must be something about GA. my son in law will have BBQ and b/4 long he will have 50+ people sitting down to eat and only 2 or 4 of them where ask to come,,,,,the last time I was in GA.he made 8 runs to the meat market to get more for them to eat, I know he put out over 400.oo+ for BBQ ,,,after they all showed up and he kept putting it on until 10:00 and maybe longer...they must smell it in GA and call every one near by.. great place.....

And he said that's just the way it is in GA..

Hi B J....

GA does still have that southern hospitality from time to time, mostly with the older generation though. We have always tried to keep our table full enough to feed whoever drops by and have many times given up or own portions top share with others. You are right about the smoke being the give-a-way that BBQ is happening and even the flies come running

Hi Bob

I must tell/share with you about one more b/4 I forget it

My son-in-law ( Dave) well it's almost 6:00, do you guys want BBQ and I said sure and the BOSS sure ,that would great, can I help you with anything and Dave said no I will get it all setup, he went to the side of the garage and pull out the biggest BBQ that I every seen.. it looked a train box car with 8 burners and pit on the side for a pig hahahahahaha...LOL well b/4 it got it fired up and b/4 it was hot we had 4 more people for dinner than I took a look at the front yard and we had 10 cars/trucks in the front and kids all of the back yard and I ask Dave what's up, O this the norm...most of them pull the beer out and started to help Dave...it blew me away,,I just took a seat and took a look around at the 30 for 40 people not to take a head count on the kids in the backup yard and in the pool..

I said to Dave ,this is what it's like all the time,,and said yep almost every night...I don't think I have every seen anythng like it and not one mad person in the group...or drunk just some great peploe in GA have a good time..
