Default got a brand new DEWALT 735 planner today at HD for $379

apparently in some markets home depot and dewalt are pulling out the 735 planners to add something to the market at a lower price point to compete with the other 2 lower cost other brand planers they sell in the stores here. I just happened to go down the tool isle checking prices like normal and score they had them on clearance. the first store just had the demo and the manager would not take anymore off so I went to another store and got won brandnew in the box for $379 I know it is not a router but major thing I needed to go with the router so I am stoked

maybe you HD are doing the same I know some models they are still full price and others changing this is a market test or something

I have to have only 110v tools I have to get the best I can with my price and power limits

Fantastic purchase, that is a great plainer to be sure. I would love to have one. Maybe someday, in the meanwhile I will work the daylights out of the one I have.

You're going to like it.
One tip. When adjusting the depth of cut, take less than the second line of the scale on front.

I am currently looking at the DW735 and would appreicate any input that you might like to share. How often do you need to change blades? I am planing to make interior and exterior doors for a hobby, and wondered if anyone has kept track of the life span, or course taking into consideration the type of wood being planed. What are your thoughts on a rehabed unit from the factory?
