Default great foods

we are taking our vacation later this month and i have been working very long hours.

i really looking forward to some great gulf of mexico foods. i look forward to lots of seafood, maybe some cajun food and relaxing a lot.

this is my ranking of food types

southern foods are the best.
i love seafood also!
cajun food is great!
i also love most italian food!
i like a lot of greek food!
french food is definitely for france!!!
chinese food is (in my opinion) for the trash can!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now these are my opinions mind you so dont get upset, nothing scientific here,lol just opinion!

so give us your opinions.

Hi levon,

I pretty much agree with your pecking order on the list, except I do like shrimp fried rice which I think is chinese food.

Hope you have a great vacation..... where are you going exactly?

hey my long lost friend Bob,

were going down to panama city florida. my daughter, her husband and the 4 yr old grandson and then my son, his wife and the 15 month old grandson and Mary and i have a 3 br condo rented. i do love cajun food and may go to destin to the lousiana lagniappe restarant one night. i havent been on the forum much this week as my workload is impossible. of course captain andersons is a yearly meal for us. im getting more overweight and where i dont worry about that anymore,lol

by the way , florida watermelons are rolling into the farmers markets here. some squash are coming in, i do love some squash smothered in onions!

ahhhhh yes.... good ole PCB and Capt Anderson's. I have many good memories there from years gone by. Sounds like you have a good plan put together and I envy the time you will get to spend there.

Me and watermelons don't get along well so I have to stay away from them, but the squash..... now that is a fovorite food of mine and I seriously don't believe you can find a way to cook it wrong. My wife has a great fried squash in the oven recipe that I enjoy, but boiled and mashed with onions is hard to beat

You are so right about the added lbs and how we have to stop worrying about them at times
